Home > Excel Reports > Fiscal Shrinkage
This workbook shows SKU-level net shrinkage for your store's fiscal period (usually Jan - Dec). It is separated into three worksheets: Fiscal (Adjusted), Excluded and Defective.
Tips for processing this worksheet:
Fiscal Shrink Tab - these SKUs contribute to your shrink key metric as seen on your Charts and Key Metrics reports. This is measuring impactful uncontrolled shrinkage likely triggering a reorder event. Excluded Tab - these SKUs exhibited financial shrinkage but were likely mitigated with offsetting with dump SKU sales (fasteners, bulk) or was otherwise controlled (Store Closeout, Store Supply) and therefore is not likely theft. Defective Tab - this is a special class of shrinkage where vendor credits are likely booked against the shrinkage loss and therefore called out as a separate class of shrinkage.
Column B - Class: the SKU's current Class indicated in Inventory Maintenance. If the SKU was deleted, then the class will be DEL.
Column E - Location: The SKU's current location.
Column F - Prime Vendor: The SKU's current Prime Vendor.
Column G - Shrink Units: Net shrink units for your store's fiscal period.
Column H - Shrink Value: net shrink units multiplied by the SKU's replacement cost. replacement cost is weighted averaged based on which month(s) the shrink even occurred.
Column I - Last Change: the last month the quantity on hand was changed (shrink event).
