Transfer Report
For multi-stores Mango’s Transfer report is a unique inventory balancing tool. The report can be run for all stores in an organization (served from the same Eagle server) and stores can be separated into groups if they are spread out geographically. If you would like to set up transfer groups then send us an email (support@mangoreport.com) and we will be happy to set these up for you. If you are a single store operator and have a nearby store who wants to be a transfer buddy then just let us know and we'd be happy to set you up as transfer pair. A full SKU listing can be found in your Excel Master Transfer Report located in the Multi-Store folder of your online report directory. Selection Criteria Order Point In nearly all circumstances, a SKU will not be transferred out below its current order point. The exception is when the SKU's Store Closeout flag is set to "Y" or "T", in this case, it could be transferred completely to zero. Seasonal and upcoming demand is taken into consideration so that enough inventory is retained to fulfill reasonable future demand. Sales volume and "transfer cost" (transfer quantity multiplied by item cost) threshold SKUs are selected based on a sliding-scale where more popular SKUs must meet a higher transfer dollar threshold but SKUs with less volume have a lower threshold. This behavior keeps an organization from transferring A inventory around (that would otherwise sell-through in the store) unless there is a significant imbalance. Conversely, X and D velocity inventory will be listed for transfer, even if it is not a huge dollar amount--but there are hundreds of these transfer opportunities. In general, a slower-moving item will not be listed for transfer out unless it has more than 6 months of supply and will not create more than a 6-month supply in the "to" store. This 6-month supply window slides based on the velocity of the SKU and its current order point. Order Multiple Expensive SKUs with high order multiples are treated as a special case. These are typically OM=4 gallons of paint and other expensive high-OM non-Ace SKUs. You may see a proactive transfer where a store is slightly overstocked to a store that is slightly understocked. This delays an expensive high-OM purchase in the "to" store. For example, a store with 4 gallons of a very slow moving paint SKU (OM = 4) would transfer a gallon to a store with only 1 on hand, even if it was a slow mover in that store too. Store Closeout If a SKU's Store Closeout flag is set to Y or T for two consecutive months then the report will attempt to transfer all the inventory to other stores where a Store Closeout = N.
Excluding SKUs
If Location 6 of a SKU is set to EXTR then the item will be excluded from all Transfer Reports.
