Class Productivity - Excel Worksheet
This worksheet lists all active merchandise classes in your store with associated productivity metrics.
B - Primary Class Name: the class name. C - Sales Rank: the annual sales ranking of the class (1=best). For example, a rank of 25 means this is the 25th best selling class in your store. D - Sales Decile: the class's annual sales decile ranking (1=best - 10=worst) in sales volume. For example, a Rank of 1 means this class is in the top 10 percentile of sales volume. E- SKU Count: the number of active SKUs in this class. F - Sales: annual Sales attributed to SKUs in this class
G - Sales +/- YOY - Sales increase/decrease from last year (year-over-year). H - Gross Profit: annual Gross Profit attributed to SKUs in this class. I - Margin: the average annual margin for this class. J - Peer Margin: your peer group average annual margin for the class. K - GMROI: the annual gross profit divided by average inventory value for this class. L- Peer GMROI: your peer group annual GMROI M - Current Inv: the current (month end) inventory value for this class. N - Avg Inv Value: the average annual inventory value for this class. O - Unproductive: the dollar value of Unproductive inventory (not sold in over two years (obsolete) or over two years of supply (overstock)). P-T Popularity Code Ranking: the number of SKUs in each popularity code ranking for the class. P - T Rank: the number of SKUs in each velocity code ranking. A = 76+ annual units, B = 26 - 75, C = 9 - 25, D = 1 - 8, X = 0 annual units. U - Discounted: the number of SKUs in this class on a closeout discount. V - Outs - Lost Sales: the annual sales dollars (as a percentage of annual sales) lost due to inventory outs (excludes outs caused by warehouse, seasonal, special orders, promotional). W - Sales Variance Ace SKUs: shows the sales difference between what your store sells and what the typical store (matched to your store's size) sells. For example $-400.00 means your store sells $400 less in this class than the typical peer store your exact size. X - Discovery COR Coverage: shows the percentage of Discovery COR SKUs that your store carries in this class. Y - Missed Opp COR Sales: shows the likely annual sales to Discovery COR SKUs not carried in your store.
Z - Dept: the most common department for the class.
